Campedelli Marble strengthens its trust in SIMEC with three SFERA gangsaws installed

Campedelli Marmi Srl, a historic Veronese company based in Stallavena, in the heart of Valpantena, has been a point of reference in natural stone processing for years. The company, internationally recognized for the quality of its workmanship and for the modern and efficient organization of its plant, continues to invest in technologies capable of guaranteeing precision, production continuity and cost control.
It is precisely in this context that it is significant that, after returning to SIMEC in 2023 with the installation of a first SFERA gangsaw, Campedelli has now further consolidated its technological choice, bringing the number of these machines to three over time, replacing as many competitor products with which the customer was not satisfied.
The three gangsaws installed are identical SFERA 800/80 models, with 800 mm stroke and equipped with 80 blades, all with inverters. A choice oriented toward standardization of the sawing department, with obvious advantages in terms of operational management, uniformity of performance and optimization of consumption.
A decision that confirms how the performance of the SIMEC frame has fully met the company’s expectations, both in terms of cutting quality and reliability over time.SFERA frames, the result of more than forty-five years of SIMEC experience in sawing stone materials, are distinguished by the straight movement of the blade rack with double connecting rod transmission and the use of hydrostatic guides, which guarantee extremely precise sliding, free of vibration and direct mechanical friction. This solution ensures stability during the cutting phase and is a major contributor to the surface quality of the slab obtained.

The machines installed at Campedelli are also equipped with advanced automation systems, such as the automatic downfeed system and slab break detection device. The presence of the inverter on all three gangsaws allows particularly smooth movement management, a significant reduction in energy consumption and the possibility of automatically varying the number of stops according to the hardness of the material, the sharpness of the tools and the downfeed system speed. The start-up and stop phases are also particularly progressive, with obvious benefits in terms of structural stresses and component life.

For SIMEC, the growth of its collaboration with Campedelli Marmi represents a concrete confirmation of the quality and reliability that have always characterized Golden Star in the design and manufacture of gangsaws for marble.
